New implant therapy provides us with the restoration of lost teeth, which allows obtaining the most natural effect. On the other hand, this treatment is a choice solely when the client has enough natural bone - about 10 mm. If you have lost teeth in the distant past or due to inflammation, which caused damage to the bone, dental implantation is commonly excluded due to insufficient bone structure. This issue concerns particularly the upper jaw, which has two maxillary sinuses. In spite of the lack of natural bone, there is a chance of implant/prosthetic therapy using the most modern methods of bone replacement and particular treatment techniques, e.g. grafting bone taken from the client's own body using ultrasonic equipment. This method is called -'guided bone regeneration' and involves introducing special bone regeneration material (during a separate stage or together with the implants) and/or the client's own bone taken from an alternative area, e.g. the body of the lower jaw. The treatment is completely painless and once the healing process has finished (4-6 months), teeth can be restored using implants.
